We will be adding, shortly, guidelines to help you maintain your Blanchard Fire or Security system.

The frequent causes of false alarms are:

1. Insecure doors or windows, often internal ones which open in a breeze triggering the alarm.

Answer: Check your doors, windows, an in warehouses your roller shutters are firmly shut.

2. Power cuts can cause older systems to false alarm.

Answer: The back-up stand by battery needs replacing. They are only designed to last 5 yrs.

3. Something moving in front of PIR movement sensors (christmas decorations are common)

Answer: Never allow large decorations (which might move in a draught) in protected rooms.
